Abstract
Au cours des siècles, Bède le Vénérable (673-735) s'est vu attribuer de nombreuses oeuvres qu'il n'avaient pas écrites, de sorte que le canon de ses productions se révèle difficile à établir. Cette inflation d'oeuvres faussement attribuées à Bède culmina au XVIe siècle, au moment de l'édition princeps des opera omnia de Bède par Johann Herwagen père et fils. Pour augmenter le nombres des oeuvres imprimées, les éditeurs et leurs collaborateurs n'auraient pas hésité à attribuer indument à Bède des pièces qu'ils savaient douteuses.
